Richard Fontaine has been working for OHC for FIFTEEN years!

He has worked at so many companies during his tenure: Federal government, Post Office, Biogen, Dana Farber, Newton Wellesley, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Astra Zeneca, Shire, and Liberty Mutual. His primary sites currently are Gillette and Sanofi.
Richard’s dry sense of humor and knowledge of current events makes him wonderful to work with.

Here is his story:

I got into nursing when I was at URI. One of my friends told me a male nurse would never have any problem getting a job. That was all I needed to hear.
Rhode Island had 15% unemployment at the time. She was right, too.

I worked 21 years at the Boston Globe, that was a great job; but they newspaper business went downhill, so I took a buyout and have been working for Nancy since 2006. Working for Nancy I’ve been all over in Boston; including lots of places you would have trouble seeing any other way, like the Federal Reserve Bank, federal courthouse, etc.

Never regretted being a nurse.

For fun: Bike riding, spending time with his grandkids, and traveling.
